We renovated three bathrooms in this interestingly designed Melba home, working with the architect to update the spaces while respecting the character of the original house.
Rather than completely reinventing the bathrooms, the design took cues from what was already there. The aim was to retain some of the personality and character of the original spaces while improving their function for modern family life.
The new interiors introduced updated fixtures, finishes and layouts, together with carefully considered touches of colour that give each space personality without feeling disconnected from the architecture of the home.
Two of the three completed bathrooms are pictured here.
This was a great example of renovation being about more than simply replacing old with new. By working closely with the architect and understanding the intent behind the design, we were able to help modernise these spaces while allowing the character of the original home to remain part of the finished result.
